In one end of the telephone line bergensian Henning Severud answers. In the other end a sound of galloping synthesizers, bongos and cowbells streams out. Telephones hybrid of disco, house, new-wave, italo and cosmic punkfunk, has regularly brought him to Bergen, Oslo and Trondheim.

The music sits itself in the crossfire between the scandinavian-synthetic cold and equatoric heat. It is an eclectic fruitbasket spiced up with a couple of coconuts covered in dust from a dirty Manchester basement.

Since we last saw him in Bergen alot has happened around Telephones: he has relocated to Berlin, started doing live-shows with his friends Chmmr(sidekick) and Richard Nystad(guitar). He has also released 12″s on Bergen label Untz Untz, the greek Amateur label and Oslo’s respected Full Pupp.

This is Telephones first live-gig in his hometown.
