Pow Pow is an instrumental band that comes close to a unique sound and who have garnered praise from a steadily growing audience around Norway. They have developed from a guitar driven band to now embrace elements from the synth world and kraut rock. Despite these references it sounds in no way dated, rather to the contrary. The sound of smart minimalist guitars, fat cosmic synths and an energetic rhythm section which does all it can to get you to dance, means that Pow Pow sound unmistakeably fresh and innovative. The band have two earlier release, the album ‘Leaving Las Palmas’ from 2007 and the single ‘Solar Eclipse’ from 2010. The record received good reviews over the whole country and expectations are high for the coming follow up. Live, Pow Pow are well known for creating magic and selling out shows more often than not.
